Shibby Blade - A modification for UT2003 by the Fraghouse Mod Team (http://fraghouse.beyondunreal.com)
------------------

1. Installation

Here is a root structure displaying where each file should go. Alternatively, if your zip archiver supports directory structure, just unzip the UT2003 folder to the base of your hard drive (usual installation location) and it'll all be set up for you ready to play.

2. Up and running!

Right then, start up UT2003. Choose Instant Action and select either of the two mutators - Shibby Blade - Give Blade, or Shibby Blade Arena. The first gives you the blade at the start of the match to swing around, and the second replaces all weapons/ammo with the blade. Also, the extra mutator, Hard Bots, makes the bots much more vigilant with the sword and harder to defeat. You have been warned! ;-)

3. So.. what's the Shibby Blade?

The Shibby Blade is a tribute to ShibbyMaster, our modeller who at the current time is dealing with real life issues. His models have reeked of his own style and imagination, and this Blade represents one of his later works which he improved upon. Primary fire dishes out short-ranged, fast abuse, and secondary executes a lunge with a slightly longer range and more damage, but has a slower swing rate. Enjoy!

4. Setting up a server

Instead of guiding you step by step on how to set up your own server, I'm going to assume that you are reasonably adept in setting up your own server.
If you want to run the Shibby Blade on your server, make sure your serverpackages list includes:

ServerPackages=ShibbyBlade

You can then run a server through UT2003 or use UCC. UCC's syntax for this mod would be like this:

ucc server mapname?mutator=shibbyblade.mutbladearena OR mutgiveblade +++ plus any extra parameters (muthardbots for harder bots too ;-))

5. Any bugs? There have gotta be some...

Yes, the bots. While for the majority of the time they will hack you down mercilessly and ruthlessly, they DO get stuck. If you come across a group of 3 bots or more just standing around like they're having a friendly chat, don't hesitate to jump in and slash them all. I've noticed this happens with the Kakutou fighting mod too, so the bots obviously have a problem with melee. However, in team games or with a minimal amount of bots, this doesn't seem to happen. Apart from that, there are no apparent bugs. If something appears to be odd, then it was probably intended to be.

6. Who made this?

ShibbyMaster originally modelled the sword, then Parser put together the code and stuck some skins on the model. That's about it, really, not much else to say. If you have any feedback, don't hesitate to contact us at the Fraghouse forums: http://fraghouse.beyondunreal.com
